How statuses work
Every status is backed by linked reports. We don't test mods ourselves and we don't hand down verdicts. Each mod page lists the public reports we found (Reddit threads, Bethesda patch notes, mod pages), each with a date and a link, so you can read the original and decide for yourself.
Status meanings
- Bricks Reports say the game wouldn't start or stayed stuck loading, and fixing it took a reinstall or clearing reserved space.
- Crashes Reports of crashes or freezes during play, with no conflicting "works for me" reports found yet.
- Mixed reports Credible reports point both ways. We show both sides instead of picking one, because PS5 crashes often depend on load order, PS5 vs PS5 Pro vs PS4, and how you tested.
- Works Recent reports of stable use on the current patch, with no unresolved crash reports.
- Fixed Earlier crash reports, followed by a mod update and new reports that it now works.
- Unknown Someone suspected it, but nobody has confirmed it either way.
Dates and verification
Each source is opened in a normal browser and marked with the date it was checked (e.g. “✓ browser-verified 2026-10-20”). Quotes are word-for-word. Anything marked “paraphrase” is our summary of a comment. A plain date is the post date shown on the report. A date marked ≈ is an estimate. Our Reddit reader can't open some threads directly, so we estimate the date from neighbouring posts with known dates. It's usually within a day or two. Once someone opens the thread and confirms the date, we replace the estimate.
Where the data comes from
- Player reports, mainly from r/ps5skyrimmods.
- Official patch notes from Bethesda.
- Mod pages, linked rather than copied, on Bethesda Creations. We don't scrape Bethesda.net: its Terms of Service forbid page-scraping bots.
- Reports sent in by readers. These are only published with a public link or a clear note that they came to us directly.
Testing tips the community repeats
- Add mods a few at a time, then fully close and relaunch the game. Some crashes only show up on the second launch.
- Test on a fresh save, and don't add or remove mods partway through a playthrough.
- Use a quick-start test mod such as Realm of Lorkhan.
